how do you play?

GET THE LOW-DOWN

After players put on their game packs and have been briefed, the game is started by one of our Marshalls.

The pack is activated and allows the player to engage their phaser against opponents and devices within the Arena.

Each pack has sensors on the phaser (Front and back of the pack and on the shoulders). Tagging these areas will gain points to the attacking player while deactivating the tagged player for a few seconds.

After the game has finished, the packs shut down automatically and players return to the armoury room.

Score information is downloaded from the packs to the central computer and individual player scorecards are printed upon request.

The marshalling area is simply an area that is used to group players to get you ready for mission briefing. This area may contain bollards to assist in pathway control as required.

There will be a ‘Special Alert’ for guests as to what game is about to start. It is also crucial that any party guests are called at the correct time so all members are available to start the game together.

The Briefing room

RULES OF THE GAME

Access to the briefing room will be from the marshalling area, the egress will be into the phasor room. Both doorways will be prominent. The entry to the briefing room is where players pass from the real world to mission environment.

The briefing room is primarily for the instructions in safety and equipment use. There will be an introduction to your mission. The rules of play such as no running, fair play and how to travel through the arena are essential for safe play.

A briefing room is also for the purpose of introducing new players to the intricacies of the game.

MISSION SELECTED

This room will select the type of mission – the group is to embark on.

These are tailored to the player so that younger players have a game suited, in difficulty that they can enjoy.

A Final area for instructions in the use of the equipment and final safety information is reinforced by the staff in this area.

GAME ON

The Arena is the game space that has effects and spaces that make the game between groups an enjoyable, challenging and safe area to strategise between teams to achieve the highest scores.

The Arena provides entertainment for all ages that is physically active, safe for participants, socially engaging, encourages strategic thinking and is great fun.

Return to the Phasor room to remove suits and place on the racks provided
